Nick Penniman is the executive director of Issue One, an American nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce the influence of money in politics. ==Career== Penniman was executive director of the Huffington Post Investigative Fund, which he founded with Arianna Huffington in 2009.〔(http://www.poynter.org/latest-news/business-news/newspay/94934/huffington-post-investigative-team-a-nonprofit-model-in-the-making)〕 Supported by large foundations and The Huffington Post, the operation established a nonprofit newsroom of journalists who reported on a variety of topics, most notably the financial crisis of 2007-2008 and its aftermath. He has also worked as the associate editor of the ''American Prospect'', a monthly magazine; editor of the ''Lincoln Journal'', a weekly newspaper; and associate editor of the Missouri Historical Society.
